Taking care of toddlers is a huge task, especially if they are fussy eating. You will spend a lot of time literally running behind them and cajoling them into eating food that they do not like. There are even children who do not like to eat anything that is healthy and gorge only on the so-called junk foods. Vegetables and certain kinds of fruits will definitely be on their hate lists. Hence handling strategies child eating can be tiring and even quite annoying. It is very easy for you to do things that you definitely must not do.

Yes, you read that correct. In their bid to induce their children to eat healthy foods, most parents do things that they definitely must not do. Here is the list of the don't that you must follow if you really want to bring your children to healthy eating habits.

1. Don't lose your temper over your picky eater children.

Being rough to the children just because they are not eating the foods that you need them do will not solve the problem. Start making meal time a happy will not become healthy eaters by reprimanding and scolding them. On the contrary, they will become obstinate about it. However, if you are understanding and try to explain to them in an affectionate manner, there is more likelihood that they will eat the food.

2. Don't force the foods on the children.

You can force a food once or twice, but that is never going to become a habit for the kids. Again, it will only build their resistance into not eating the food. Instead make the food with different cooking styles and make it more palatable for the kids, such as using it in sandwiches. This has better chances of being eaten.

3. Don't pick on your own food.

It is really amusing to see how the parents who force their children to eat all kinds of foods are tips kids eating themselves. Children are quite observant and this does not escape their eyes. They will definitely emulate their parent's habits to suit their own.

4. Don't keep junk food at home.

In most cases, the parents themselves introduce junk food on their kids. They shop together for all these things and then stock them in their fridge. Children can easily reach at these foods and so they avoid the healthier options. Instead, stock your refrigerator with fruits. Teach them early on that the fruit is their snack when they are hungry.

5. Don't be boring with the food.

Perhaps nothing is as creative as parenting. As a parent, you have to keep changing all the time. This really comes in handy when you are bringing your fun kid eater to healthier eating habits. Cook new recipes for them which you can get over the Internet. Use different approaches of serving the food and feeding them. These will work each time.
